LOVE those Flowers!

I've been admiring the beautiful flowers in the Idea Book and Catalogue.  However, I don't have the blossom punch but I had a project in mind for them so I had to improvise.  I used the Fun Flowers die in my big shot!  Here's how they turned out:

The colors of the flowers are pink pirouette, wild wasabi, pool party , and so saffron.  They are a beautiful collection of summer colors!  Here is a close up:

They turned out beautifully, I'm just thrilled with them and my house full of boys thinks they are pretty nice too ;0)

The frame is from IKEA and the lettering is of course the decor elements from last year.  I try to switch whatevers in the box seasonally, leaves in autumn, christmas balls in the winter, etc.  So, this is my summer insert!  Enjoy!

Baby Showers

Alot of our friends have been having babies lately and I've had so much fun making some cute little gift bags to go along with the gifts!  I made 2 of these:

For Caitlyn

Benjamin was invited to a classmate's birthday party - a little girl - seriously, I am the Mom of ALL boys!  I almost had an anxiety attack shopping for a gift for a girl - LOL!  It felt like totally unchartered territory - LOL!  Well, we found something we hope she liked and I made up this sweet little bag to put her gift in:

The colors look a little funny in the pic but they really did all match - he he!  The brads in the center of the flowers are fabric and I was really pleased with how this bag turned out!  A little something special for a sweet little girl!  Happy Birthday Cait! Pin It

Gift Boxes

Andy and I like to give a little something to the hospital staff, teachers, etc so I whipped up 19 of these boxes with Lauren's template and filled them with tea.

 

 

Each one was different and everyone seemed to like them.  Not an expensive gift but just a little something to say Merry Christmas and we appreciate you!

Halloween Treats

I love to make little treats for the boys to take school for special events so I made these little lollipop covers, (inspired by Frances) plugged in the lollies and packaged them up!  Now the boys have a fun treat to take to share with their friends for halloween.

Hey Everyone out in Prettie Land!  We're back with another Prettie Challenge for you!
This week's challenge is from Jackie!  It is to alter something!!!  I find these altering challenges so challenging (excuse the pun) because they seem to take so long and it takes me forever to figure out what to make.  This one was actually easy for me!  Last week I was cleaning up in my storage room and I found a chipboard album that was actually an old Making Memories catty.  I fully planned on recycling it and had already set it on my desk.  Perfect timing! 
Now, what to do with the album.  My twins are in grade 1 this year and have both brought home awards that I want to scrapbook for them.  Unfortunately, I'm definitely NOT up to date with my scrapbooking efforts so I needed a way to organize everything so that when they are 25 and I'm trying to find their things from grade 1 to scrapbook I will be all organized - LOL!  I figure it may take me that long unitl I actually have time to do it.
Anywho, here's what I came up with:


This is the front of the binder.  I used some chipboard that I've had forevah and a denim ribbon scrap to make the Grade 1 and the buckle/belt.  I LOVE this writing paper cardstock too!
On the inside there are a bunch of dividers with pockets to put everything in.  They are divided into Jacob's section and Eli's section and have the following categories:
artwork, awards, report cards, english, math and friends (for class pics and valentine's cards, etc)

Lastly, I stamped our Look Out World Cooper twice and colored them for the front.  If you look closely you'll see that I stamped their initials on each t-shirt.  We have never dressed the twins the same so I purposely colored them differently.


Well, there it is.  I hope I've inspired you to keep your kids' things organized too!

Card Tin

I wanted to share this tin I just made.

My Mom got a box similar to this from me for Christmas filled with cards and last week she phoned to say that her friend would like to buy one - so here it is.  I was pretty happy with how it turned out only it always looks better IRL than in a pic.

VERY busy!!

So, I know everyone is really busy at this time of the year - me included!  I have been working ALOT and stamping a little (insert sad face here).  Anyway, here is the little bit I have managed to accomplish:  I went crazy with this sketch challenge from Splitcoast.

Then I tried out some of my new whipper snapper stamps - love them as well, okay, what stamps don't I love - LOL!  Here is one of them, much prettier IRL.  The glitter really sparkles!

 

I also received this first simply sent kit that I ordered.  I was very impressed with it, since when I first saw them I wasn't crazy about them!  I wanted to promote them to my scrapbooking club so I sort of cased and changed the card from the kit and made a 6x6 scrapbooking page.

Lastly, I have been trying my hand at glass etching.  I've done a whole wack of things!  This vase is for a christmas gift (maybe for a lucky little someone who will be reading this, so I can't mention any names).  I also have done a plate with poinsettas for my Grandma, a plate with horses for my mom, and a mug with deer for my dad.

Halloween Treats

Today was Jacob and Eli's halloween party at preschool so I made up these little treats for them to take. My pumpkin kitty cube arrived just in time from Inky Antics.  The paper is Stampin up and the Happy Halloween stamps are from Micheals.  I'd love to hear what the rest of you have done or made for halloween!
