50 Cent Friday & a New Sentiment

Its 50 cent Friday and this week we are offering ALL of our Bo Bunny designer paper for .50 per sheet.  You can order as many as you like while quantities last!
We are also previewing a new sentiment we'll be releasing on May 1st - its called Bubbles Everywhere.
This image is always so much fun to play with.  It gives so many opportunities to use all the 'extras' on our cards.  The bubbles have liquid pearls on them as do the lids of the bubble bath.  The bath matt is covered in flower soft.  The towel on Sophia's head has flocking on it and the ducky is covered in Diamond Glaze to make him look shiney!  The dp on the paper is some of the Bo Bunny that is on sale in the store today!  There are three coordinating designs.
This is our new sentiment and I just love how it goes with this image!

Today I have a Prettie Peek of a new rubber stamp set we are releasing on May 1st!  This set is so fun and has so much potential.
I colored the image with my copics and then played a little - he he.  I added diamond glaze to the "icing" on the cupcakes and then used bead 'sprinkles'.  I added some diamond stickles to the cake plate.  The plaid paper is from the Pretties boutique - You can find it HERE.

Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails Around the River

Now that its nice outside, I've been taking a 3 mile walk everyday around the river that runs through town.  It is so peaceful and beautiful, I really love to go, it isn't even like exercise because I enjoy it so much :0).  Anyway, today the little boys came with me - (we all went out so that Isaiah could sleep in in the peace & quiet).  Even Daisy likes our walks!
Today I took my camera to get some shots of just how beautiful it is.  When I came home and looked at the pics, they made my heart smile.  Little boys are some of the cutest, innocent, honest little creatures that God created.  I just love everything about them - well, almost everything.
A boy and his dog:
This guy always takes his bike - I guess its a bigger adventure!
This is a pic of the river - the scenery as we walk:
Today we were lucky enough to see this friendly fellow taking a dip.  I'm not sure who was more excited to see him - me or the boys.  For those of you that can't make out what it is, its a beaver!!  You can barely see his big paddle tail in the water behind him.

Here's Daisy investigating the woods and heading off any killer ducks that she thinks may want to have us for breakfast - LOL!
A story about boys would not be complete without something snailish - here is a catepillar the boys saw.  I'm very sure that it will turn into some very aweful large bug given time - ugh!
The epitomy of little boys - dirty face and rooster tail to boot!
Beautiful signs of spring:
Another little boy on a big adventure:
I just love this pic and think its a great way to end our walk:
By the end of our walk they all had pockets full of VERY special rocks, walking sticks and more dirt and rooster tails :0) - have I mentioned how much I LOVE little boys!!!
Thanks for taking a walk with us! Pin It

Easter

Good Friday was my oldest son's 18th birthday.  I cannot believe how time has flown.  My children and husband are my passion in this life, my life's work.  I remember when Andy started his job here in Kindersley working on the ambulance.  I asked him how it was going and if he liked it.  His reply was this, " I know that this is what God created me to do".  I feel the same about being a wife and a mom.  As women we all wear many hats but the thing that makes my heart sing, when I feel like I am really living my life to honor God is when I am at my best as a wife and a mom.  Having said that, I spent the first 1/2 hour I was awake on Friday morning crying - LOL!  Not because I was sad at all - well, okay, a little, but mostly because I felt that I had arrived at a milestone in my life - one for which I had been striving for 18 years - well, much longer than that actually.  While the sad part was that the sweet little boy I had so much fun with when he was little was all grown up, the happy part was that we did it!  Andy and I had raised our first son to be a well balanced, independant thinking, compassionate, respectful, loving, productive member of society.
Now, some of you out there are probably thinking, wow lady, don't make more of this than it is, but for me this was is a huge accomplishment.  Andy and I are both aware and feel very strongly that you are a parent for life, our job isn't over now that Isaiah is 18 - we recognize that there will be many more challenges ahead for him and we'll always be here to support, encourage, pray and counsel as needed but I can't explain the pride and thankfulness and joy that fills my heart to see that my first baby has grown wings and is beginning this journey of his adult life.  We love you so much Isaiah and are SO proud of the young man you have grown into.   We know that where ever life takes you, whatever paths you choose, you have a destiny and a purpose and you will do great things!
Okay, hang on while I wipe my eyes and blow my nose so I can see my screen and keyboard again - LOL!
I say all of that to say this - as we celebrated the day yesterday, there was a bittersweetness in my mind as I recollected and pondered Good Friday.  The day in history that God - the one who holds the universe in his hand - the one who definitely doesn't NEED us, but wants us, the one who I'm sure was filled with much more pleasure than I was at His Son's accomplishments, allowed, no, purposed for Him to die for people who hated him.
Can you imagine?  I can't even imagine my children giving their lives for their own families - those who love them more than anything but to allow my child to die for people who beat and spit on them - profound.  Confounding.  How could a loving God allow this to happen?  What must it have been like for Jesus to know that his Father was turning His head while all of this went on?  The bible says Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him - that joy was You and I.  He gave His life willingly so that you and I could have eternal life, peace with God.
Amazing Love.
Then on the third day - He rose.
What makes this God different from all the others - He is alive.  It is this truth, that fact that He loves us this much that the everyday issues of our life matter to Him that keeps me loving him.  We love him because he first loved us.  It is His kindness that draws us to Him.
I hope that that truth, that His great love will inspire you to thankfulness today.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know, He holds the future.
Life is worth the living, just because He lives.

Happy Easter to all of you, may you feel Gods enormous love for you today. Pin It

I'm Spoiled

One day a while ago, the door bell rang and when I went to open it it was the postal girl with a HUGE box from my good friend Julie.  Wow, did she spoil me!  Among the treasures were some PTI buttons, a novel, A Card A Day book, and the list just went on and on.  I found this beautiful card she had made me for my birthday (now almost a year ago - he he)
And then, THIS:
