SERENITY NOWWWWWWW!

Yep, that's what I needed, that's why as you are reading this I am off in the mountains, enjoying some romantic time with my sweetheart.  I promise to post pics when I get back.  In the meantime, while I was getting ready for our little getaway, I was cleaning off my desk and found this image that I had colored some time ago.  I took a few minutes to make a quick card with it.

Another Andy Card

I made this card a bit ago for Andy.  He had applied for a new job and it has been nerve racking to say the least waiting to hear back.  Sometimes its nice to get some reassurance that there is someone on your side, even if its a given!

Just a Quick One

You Can't Eat This Chocolate Bunny

So, if anybody knows me they know I LOVE bunnies!  I have always loved bunnies since I was a little girl when my Grandpa used to come in from the field and walk up to me in his work clothes and work boots and say, "do you know what I have in my pocket?"  I of course would giggle with excitement and say, "no".  Grandpa pulled his hand out of his pocket and there in his hand was a baby bunny!  You can imagine how small it was if it fit in his pocket!!  I cuddled up on the couch with that little fluff ball and it started sucking on my neck - LOL!
So, I just could not resist buying these Flopsey Stamps from my friend Kim at MFT.
I saw this sketch on someone's blog yesterday (I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was)  I think its a bella sketch challenge.  I loved their card and so I decided to try one myself!
IMG_6644 This FABU dp is from Emma's Paperie again, its October Afternoon, I just loved the colors!  I colored the image using my blender pen and SU ink pads.  The ribbon is the retired Cranberry Crisp which actually matches much better than the pic shows.  The brads ( I think) are from SU as well.  I punched my squares with the SU punches too.  The scallops are done with Fiskars paper edgers.  I used night of navy, Olive, Burgandy and Chocolate.
Take time today to let one of your friends know you appreciate them! Pin It

Chill Out

I couldn't resist this cute little image from My Favorite Things.  I am such a sucker for anything polkadotted!

Prettie Challenges

Here are mine:
Our first challenge was a 1 layer card - that seemed to be a big challenge for everyone (or so they said, but you'd never know from the great creations that were posted)!

This card was made with Lizzie Anne's Getting Hitched set.  It was stamped on SU ultrasmooth white with Palette noir ink.
I colored the car and accessories with my copic sketch markers.  The sentiment is also by Lizzie Anne - sketched sentiments.  The ribbon is American Crafts valentine ribbon!  I'm not sure where the little brads came from - they might be Making Memories!  There is diamond glaze on the window and the balloons and I used my spica silver glitter pen for the bumper, trunk lever and tin cans!
Challenge #2 was a monochromatic card.

For this card I used the You Take the Cake MFT set!  The cardstock is SU apricot and pumpkin pie and ultrasmooth white.  The printed paper is also SU and the apricot strip behind the main image was stamped using our new Sassy Circles set!  The dotts on the ladie's dress is an orange glitter glue I found at Walmart a looooooong time ago.  There is diamond glaze on the frosting on the cake.  The hardware is by We R Memory Keepers!  I colored the image with my copic sketch markers.
Challenge #3 was a sketch challenge:

This card was made with our Look Who's Perky set!  The printed paper is SU, as well as the cardstock in soft sky and blue bayou.  The gem brads are Making Memories.  I stamped the image in India ink black (LOVE that ink).  I colored the images in with my copic sketch markers (flesh, blue frost, and blue green)  The steam is covered in Stampendous ultrafine multi glitter.
Many of the items used on these cards is available in the Pretties Boutique, just click on the links and it will take you straight to the item.

Think Pink

I have so many virtual friends.  Women all over the world who I email and speak with on a regular basis but yet have never met.  There are many similarities that we share but the common thread is that we are all women who care about other people.  We invest our lives in caring of husbands, children, parents, siblings, friends and others who cross our paths.  I know that many of us desire to reach out even further to care for those whose paths may never even cross ours.
Breast cancer affects us all.  Whether is a family member, a friend, a co-worker of even ourselves, we are not strangers to this disease that has claimed so many lives.  We are also very excited at the leaps and bounds the health care industry has made toward finding a cure and celebrate with so many women around the world who have won the battle against Breast Cancer.  My own Grandmother is a 43 year survivor of breast cancer!

Here are a couple of cards made with the new Think Pink stamp set!

Anyway, I think I did pretty good for my first try but as you can see from the pic, I'm having a hard time getting my new camera to take as nice pics as my old broken one did. :(

And As Easter Approaches...

Okay, I am so totally out of the loop with SCS.  I have been so busy that I haven't had time to check out the tutorials, challenges, barely get to do any stalking (insert sad face here) but tonight I got a few minutes to take a peek and Oh how totally cute is the tutorial this week.   LLLLLLove this cute little card design!  Here is my take on it using another MFT stamp set - Hoppy Easter.
