Look Ma, No Ribbon
Okay, I'm seriously just about done with all of these images that I stamped and colored a couple of weeks ago. I just can't stand to have them sitting here, all colored and not be used!!! As soon as I'm done with these you'll be seeing a BUNCH of Pretties' cards. My poor Pretties' have been neglected while I have played with some new friends but I'm going to be pulling them out - stamping like a mad woman and enjoying another night of coloring a whole bunch of images - all Pretties!!!
Okay, onto the card. I ordered this paper by Autumn Leaves. I loved the "groovy" pattern and the colors were bright and fun and guess what - I discovered a new color combination! Okay, maybe its just new to me but I LOVE it. Seriously, no SERIOUSLY, you have to go take these papers out and lay them on your desk together to get the full impact of how pretty these are together!
Ruby Red, Baja Breeze, and Bazzill Lizard. OMGOSH - so yummy and pretty. Lizard is in between Celery and Kiwi Kiss - not as pastel as celery but not as bright as kiwi - I LOVE lizard!
Here's my card:
This is another Rubber Romace image. This sentiment from Stamping Bella was perfect for it, I thought! I drew the two black lines on either side of the sentiment to mimic the opposite side of the card. It seemed a little empty and those lines really made a difference. The opposite ones were not straight or of equal length so I purposely did the same - unequal and not the same lengths - YIKES - WAYYYYY out of the box for me! LOL! The acetate flower is Heidi Swapp, the orange plastic one is American Crafts and the brad - um, its from my stash!
I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils (on sale for 75% off in thePretties' Boutique) and gamsol. And look NO ribbon - amazing! I LOVE ribbon... and paper, and brads and stamps, and ink and okay, nevermind!!
Anyway, I LOVE this color combo sooooo much that I've decided to give away some blog candy!! I'll be giving away this new set from Gina K as well as some Bella Baubles and some Yummy Crate Paper Ribbon!! So, here's the catch - I want to see YOU make a card with this color combo! So, leave me a comment with a link to your card made with this color combo and I'll pick a winner for the blog candy on Sunday! (you can use celery or kiwi if you don't have Lizard (but it just won't be the same - LOL)
I can't WAIT to see what you come up with - and yes, Prettie Girls, you can play too!! *wink* Pin It

A Card for Andy
Well, I did manage to make one new Christmas card this year. All of the ones I sent out were from my stash - I have a ton!
This Rubber Romance image reminds me of Jackie O:
She's sitting there perched so perfectly on that GINORMOUS gift! This card is so sparkly IRL. The dp is SEI. The dp that is paper pieced on the gift is pearlescent and the background paper has glitter on some of the snowflakes. This image is a significant size so I went with a square card which gave me a little more room for embellishment. I didn't want anything too frufru since the paper is so glittery and the image itself is so elegant so I decided on these wide ribbon tabs and the glittery snowflake in the bottom left hand corner. I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The underskirt of her dress is glittered with dazzling diamonds, as is the big ribbon around the package. I used my ruby stardust glitter pen to color her head band, her lipstick, her shoes and a border around the edge of her skirt. I painted her bangles with a silver opaque pen and her necklace was created with tiny swarovski crystals.
Here is the inside of the card - wink:
I thought this cute little sentiment was a perfect way to finish off this card for my husband!
Thanks for dropping by! Pin It

Not a Christmas card unless...
you live somewhere warm (I can't relate) OR you are surprizing your love with a trip somewhere warm ( I also can't relate - LOL).
I actually purchased this image because I thought it would be so fun to surprise Andy with trip tickets in this card sometime. Sometime being the operative word here - LOL. We had such a great time on our cruise in May that I know we'll be going again, I just don't know when yet.
I colored this image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Then I sent it through my cuttlebug with my nesties (did that with the burgandy layer too)! The main image and mat are popped up. The dp is by fancy pants and the ribbon is Chatterbox. All card stock is from SU, except the white which is from PTI!
Thanks for looking, now go and surprise someone you love with something sweet! Pin It

Bling on the Brain
Well with all the glitter of the last card and the bling on this card, I guess I'm letting my girly girl show a bit hey!
I couldn't resist this cute image from Rubber Romance! We all know those couples who date for what seems like FOREVAH before he pops the question and I thought this would be perfect for one of those couples when the big new is finally announced! I couldn't resist using this ginormous swarovski crystal for the ring - it is so sparkly IRL!!! I found the layout saved on my computer in a favorites file I have but I have to admit that I'm not sure who the original creator is so if its you - thank you!
The bazzill "polished pebbles" are really random for me - I seem to always be so symetrical but I thought they were cute just kind of scattered around the card!
The silver paper is some that was left over from my own wedding invitations 6+ years ago - LOL!, the dp is SU as is the cardstock. The main base of the card is Bazzill white. I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol (although there isn't very much to color)!

The Need to Glitterfy
I got this image from Rubber Romance and it just screamed to be glitterfied! So here she is in all her glory:
I used Pale Plum for my card base and the dp is American Crafts from Emma's Paperie. The ribbon is by Chatterbox and you can find it HERE on sale. I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and added glitter to her dress and the lights around the mirror. The stripes on her stool match the dp (although its hard to tell in the pic). The olive layer is paper pierced on both long edges. The flower is by prima - I think and the bling brad is Imaginisce. There are olive swarski's in the corners which I cut out with my convex corner punch.
Now, I just have to think of what glitter queen to send this to... Pin It

Pop Up Gift Card
Okay, okay, so I'm a few days late - the important thing is that I tried right! Here is my try at the Pop Up Gift Card from the SCS Try a New Technique challenge on Monday.
I thought this would make such a pretty card to give a gift certificate to the spa, for a massage, or even for something like The Body Shop or Fruits and Passions!
This is another RR image. The cardstock is from SU and the patterned paper is from Paper Salon (you guessed it - Emma's Paperie). The image was colored with prismacolor pencils (on sale HERE)and gamsol and the flowers are from my stash!

Wild Thing...and I'm not talking about animals!
I have an extensive collection of Rubber Romance Stamps (along with many others - LOL). I have been trying to be reallllllly good with my stamping dollars since I really do have a large collection of things that I need to use up and use more often but...oh the famous "but". The moment when you see that card that pushes you right over the edge to shopping oblivion. COME ON! I KNOW you totally know what I mean!!!
So, having tried to share my guilt, I splurged on some of the new RR images - you'll be seeing them over the next little while. The thing I love about these images is that they are a fairly big (sometimes making it a challenge to fit them on the front of a card with anything else) but it makes them soooo fun to color. Last night I stamped them all out on some PTI white cardstock and took them upstairs with my prismacolor pencils (which are on sale for 75% off in the Pretties' Boutique) and coooolllllooooorrrred to my hearts content while I watched my favorite shows on TV. Did I ever tell you that that is one of my favorite things to do?
Anywho, here is the finished product - the 1st of many over the next while:
This was so fun to make! After I stamped the main image, I stamped the sentiment (from Verve) in Regal Rose in the center of the heart. Knowing this had to be glitzy I got out my Gelly Roll pen that just happens to match this color perfectly! I used it to draw a line around the inside of the heart, color her earrings and head band. Now you KNOW that wasn't enough with the glitz so I got out my black spica pen and colored her dress and shoes with it. Then I picked up this AMAZING Chatterbox flocked paper from Emma's Paperie (did I mention I love it there too?) The main card is Bazzill Black c/s (also on sale in the PP Boutique), there are pink swarovski crystals (hate the plastic ones that don't sparkle) in the corners that I cut out with my convex corner rounder and some white organdy ribbon with black dots that I got at Mike's forever ago. Bada Bing, Bada Boom!
Hope you like my glitzy card! Pin It

I'm Late for A Prettie Date
Okay, so as soon as I stepped off the plane from CHA the flu hit us - us meaning first me, then the kids, 1 by 1, each day a new kid, and finally Andy today has waived his white flag and given in - he's sick!! So, since I was trying to rest and get better and nurse everyone else back to health (Isaiah was told by our Dr. that he'll be having his tonsils out within a month), I have been very behind on my Prettie Girl challenges. I worked like a machine today to catch up, so I'm going to be posting one everyday for the next few days so that you have some eye candy!!
This is a new diva chick from Rubber Romance. She is so pretty! The printed paper I just pulled off my shelf - not even sure where I got it. The dotted brads are by Queen and Co. and the Ribbon is from SU. All of the cardstock is either SU or Bazzill. The cake has diamond glaze on the chocolate glaze and on the top layer. Her lips and earrings and the cherry were all colored with my red spica pen but the pic doesn't show the sparkle. I have one more card to show you and I'll post it in just a bit!

Little Miracle
Here is a card I made with the Rubber Romance stamp - "Jasmine".
The gems are real swarovsky pink crystals so they are really shiny. The ribbon is pink velvet by Making Memories, the Sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly and the printed paper is by CTMH. The sentiment is embossed with choc ep!
